SUMMARY:Gardening Together
DESCRIPTION:Join us in the community garden every other Wednesday morning\, 10am – 12pm\, for some company and gentle movement in the outdoors. \nAt the community garden\, we tend to several raised beds\, borders\, a greenhouse\, fruit trees\, and a wildlife pond together. We grow all kinds of fruit and veg\, and there is often produce or plants to take home at the end of a session. \nThere are always plenty of different jobs to do and things to learn. Anyone is welcome to attend – just show up\, there’s no need to book\, and no skills are required as all training and tools are provided. \nChildren are always welcome. We’ve got garden toys and always invite young people to join in with planting and garden jobs if they want. \nPlease dress for the weather – sessions always go ahead unless it’s pouring with rain. SUMMARY:Spooky Clay Creations - Workshop
DESCRIPTION:Come along to Wigan Library for a spooky clay adventure with 2 fun filled workshops this October Half Term. In the first session\, on Wed 29th Oct at 1pm we’ll shape ghosts\, monsters and fun seasonal bits from clay\, experimenting with different forms and ideas and having fun with the textures. \nIn the second session on Friday\, 31st October at 11am\, we’ll come back and paint and decorate them together\, bringing your creatures to life with colour\, character\, and adding natural items to complete your spooky creations. \nIt is a fun\, messy and creative way for families to celebrate the season and learn some new skills.  \nAll materials\, tools and full guidance are provided. \nThe cost for attending both sessions is £10 total pp. \nThis event is run by Victoria from The Community Patch CIC\, a Wigan based non profit organisation that delivers creative workshops to connect people with nature\, art and each other. \n  \nPlease book tickets directly through the Wigan Libraries Eventbrite page\, and ensure you are signed up to both sessions. \ntickets are available here
