DESCRIPTION:Join The Community Patch CIC and The Orchard Project for a hands-on traditional apple pressing session in Diggle Street Park. \nChop\, scratt and press apples the old‑fashioned way\, and enjoy your own freshly made juice 🧃 \nA fun and delicious experience for all ages. \nBring your own bottle if you’d like to take some juice home. \nFree\, just drop in. \n19th October 12pm -2:30pm\nDiggle Street Park\, Springfield\, Wigan\, WN6 7DZ \nWe’re delighted that Victoria Holden\, orchardist and educator from The Orchard Project and Northern Lily will be joining us to host the session. \nThis event is part of our ongoing work to imrpove the park for people and pollinators. The community have joined together over the past year to plant a 15 tree orchard full of apples\, pears\, plums and cherries\, fruit bushes and herbs\, and several flower beds. \nThis is our park\, and the orchard will be here for everyone to enjoy for years to come. \nWe hope you can make it!

SUMMARY:Gardening Together Sunday Session
DESCRIPTION:Join us in the community garden on the last Sunday of each month for our weekend session – 12 – 3pm\, for some company and gentle movement in the outdoors. \nAt the community garden\, we tend to several raised beds\, borders\, a greenhouse\, fruit trees\, and a wildlife pond together. We grow all kinds of fruit and veg\, and there is often produce or plants to take home at the end of a session. \nThere are always plenty of different jobs to do and things to learn. Anyone is welcome to attend – just show up\, there’s no need to book\, and no skills are required as all training and tools are provided. \nChildren and families are always welcome. We’ve got garden toys and always invite young people to join in with planting and garden jobs if they want. \nPlease dress for the weather – sessions always go ahead unless it’s pouring with rain. DESCRIPTION:Come and celebrate Halloween and the autumn season with us on Friday 30th October at 5pm in the community garden. \nThis family-friendly evening will be full of autumn magic – with pumpkin carving\, warm food\, and folk stories and songs around the campfire. The party will be held inside the hall and outside at our beautiful community garden in Beech Hill\, so remember to wrap up warm and dress for the weather. \nIt’s the perfect way to spend the season together\, creative\, cosy\, and a little spooky. \nThe event is free\, but booking is essential to make sure we have enough pumpkins for everyone.
