DESCRIPTION:Join us in the community garden every other Wednesday morning\, 10am – 12pm\, for some company and gentle movement in the outdoors. \nAt the community garden\, we tend to several raised beds\, borders\, a greenhouse\, fruit trees\, and a wildlife pond together. We grow all kinds of fruit and veg\, and there is often produce or plants to take home at the end of a session. \nThere are always plenty of different jobs to do and things to learn. Anyone is welcome to attend – just show up\, there’s no need to book\, and no skills are required as all training and tools are provided. \nChildren are always welcome. We’ve got garden toys and always invite young people to join in with planting and garden jobs if they want. \nPlease dress for the weather – sessions always go ahead unless it’s pouring with rain. We’ll post on socials if it’s off for any reason. \nThe space is accessible by wheelchair. \nAddress \nSt Anne’s Community Garden\, 152 Beech Hill Ave\, Wigan\, WN6 7TA \nThere’s free parking outside\, and it’s accessible by bus

SUMMARY:Planting Flowers in the Park
DESCRIPTION:Please join us to continue our project in making Diggle Street Park beautiful for people and pollinators.\n\nOn 26th March at 10am\, we’ll start creating our first flower bed in the park\, and we really need your help! This is the first date of a few this coming spring\, and we are so excited to start this work.\n\nWe will be digging out the flower bed and planting a variety of flowers and plants chosen for their resilience\, beauty\, and appeal to birds and insects.\n\nAll tools are provided\, plus refreshments and full guidance.\n\nChildren are welcome with adult supervision.\n\nWe’ve already got seating installed\, planted a native hedgerow\, and\, more recently\, a community orchard with The Orchard Project.\n\nDiggle Street Park\, Springfield\, WN6 7DZ\n\nIf you have any questions\, please email hello@giveitagrowwigan.co.uk\n\nOrganised by The Community Patch CIC\n\nThanks to funding from the Greater Manchester Green Spaces Fund.
