DESCRIPTION:Join us in Diggle Street Park for a fun family session all about growing!\nMonday 31st 10am – 12pm\n\nA hands-on session for children to get stuck into sowing seeds and planting.\n\nWe’ll be putting together a grow bag with plants that can grow through autumn and winter\, learning how to look after them and finding out why pollinators are so important in our gardens.\n\nFree session for children to get planting and take a grow bag full of plants and seeds home.\n\nFree to attend – just drop in any time between 10am and 12pm – no booking required\n\nEvent organised by the Community Patch CIC – a local non profit organisation bringing people togeter in nature\n\nFunded by the National Lottery Environment Fund

SUMMARY:Planting Flowers in the Park
DESCRIPTION:Please join us to continue our project to make Diggle Street Park beautiful for people and pollinators. We took a little break for the summer\, but now we’re back now autumn is approaching.\n\nOn 21st Sept at 10am\, we’ll start creating our 4th flower bed in the park\, and we really need your help!\n\nWe will be digging out the flower bed and planting a variety of flowers and plants chosen for their resilience\, beauty\, and appeal to birds and insects.\n\nAll tools are provided\, plus refreshments and full guidance. If you are staying all day\, bring some lunch. You don’t need to stay the whole time\, or arrive at 10am.\n\nChildren are welcome with adult supervision.\n\nWe’ve already got seating installed\, planted a native hedgerow\, 3 flower beds and\, more recently\, a community orchard with The Orchard Project.\n\nDiggle Street Park\, Springfield\, WN6 7DZ\n\nIf you have any questions\, please email hello@giveitagrowwigan.co.uk\n\nOrganised by The Community Patch CIC\n\nThanks to funding from the Greater Manchester Green Spaces Fund.
