DESCRIPTION:Wild Crafts is a new spring programme of fun nature-based creative sessions for families in Wigan.  \nA great way to try something new and creative together – inspired by nature. Some events are drop-in\, some you can book in advance – all are free and suitable for children and adults.  \nJoin Ali on 9th May\, any time between 11am and 1pm at St Anne’s Community Garden\, WN6 7TA\, to make our own windchimes. Using elderwood and a variety of fun\, tactile natural materials\, it’s a creative\, relaxed session for children and grown-ups to create something together and enjoy being outdoors.  \nTake your windchime home and find the perfect spot to hang it and enjoy the gentle sounds it brings. \nAll materials and full guidance are provided. \nFree – just drop into the session – but you can book if prefer though. Please only reserve space for children.  \nThis programme of events is kindly funded by the Curious Minds Chance to See Fund \nEvent organised by The Community Patch CIC\, a local non-profit working to increase biodiversity in Wigan and bring people together in nature.

DESCRIPTION:Join Ali & Victoria on the 21st May at The Old Courts for one of our famous wreath-making sessions. This time\, we’re creating beautiful floral spring wreaths. As always\, we use natural materials\, grown and foraged locally where possible. These sessions are highly popular and are a really fun way to celebrate the season together. \nThis is a fun\, creative\, hands-on workshop working with carefully beautiful and sustainable materials to create your unique decoration –  we believe a wreath is lovely at any time of year to hang on the front door. \nWhat’s included:\n\na Natural Spring Wreath\nFull guidance\, materials & tools\n\nVenue\nThe Holding Cell (Entrance through the Bailiff Bar at the bottom of the building)\, The Old Courts\, Gerrard Winstanley House\, King Street\, West Wigan WN1 1NA \nTickets\nTickets are £20 pp – by booking online on this page \nPlease note the venue is age 18+ \nWhat do people say about our workshops?\n“My favourite thing was making and selecting the herbs. SUMMARY:Gardening Together Sunday Session
DESCRIPTION:Join us in the community garden on the last Sunday of each month for our weekend session – 12 – 3pm\, for some company and gentle movement in the outdoors. \nAt the community garden\, we tend to several raised beds\, borders\, a greenhouse\, fruit trees\, and a wildlife pond together. We grow all kinds of fruit and veg\, and there is often produce or plants to take home at the end of a session. \nThere are always plenty of different jobs to do and things to learn. Anyone is welcome to attend – just show up\, there’s no need to book\, and no skills are required as all training and tools are provided. \nChildren and families are always welcome. We’ve got garden toys and always invite young people to join in with planting and garden jobs if they want. \nPlease dress for the weather – sessions always go ahead unless it’s pouring with rain.
