DESCRIPTION:Our famous Christmas wreath workshops are back this winter. Please note\, these popular events usually sell out in about 2hours! \nJoin us on our first session of 2025 on 2nd December at The Barkely Tavern for a cosy evening creating a beautiful natural Christmas wreath for your front door. \nWe focus on sustainability\, nature\, and creativity\, with most materials gathered and foraged locally and dried by us. \nWe want to make wreath making accessible for everyone\, so this event is an absolute bargain and great fun\, plus your very own natural wreath to take home. \nThanks to Grassroots of Wigan for funding\, the tickets are just £6 pp \nWith this\, please bring some of your own cut foliage to the session\, if possible.  \nWhat’s included:\n\nA wreath full of natural materials\nFull guidance & tools\n\nThere is an option to donate with your ticket to support our work in the Wigan community\, by selecting the donate ticket. Extra money from our events goes towards running the community garden and hosting free nature based events for families. \n  \nVenue\nThe Barkley Tavern\, 210 Woodhouse Lane\, Wigan\, WN6 7NF \n  \nThere is free street parking nearby and it’s accessible by bus and on foot. \nThere will also be a full bar with a range of drinks available during the session\, including soft drinks. \n  \n  \nThis event is hosted by The Community Patch CIC\, a local Wigan non-profit\, aiming to bring people together in nature and improve our green spaces for everyone.

DESCRIPTION:Join us in the community garden every other Wednesday morning\, 10am – 12pm\, for some company and gentle movement in the outdoors. \nAt the community garden\, we tend to several raised beds\, borders\, a greenhouse\, fruit trees\, and a wildlife pond together. We grow all kinds of fruit and veg\, and there is often produce or plants to take home at the end of a session. \nThere are always plenty of different jobs to do and things to learn. Anyone is welcome to attend – just show up\, there’s no need to book\, and no skills are required as all training and tools are provided. \nChildren are always welcome. We’ve got garden toys and always invite young people to join in with planting and garden jobs if they want. \nPlease dress for the weather – sessions always go ahead unless it’s pouring with rain. DESCRIPTION:Diggle Street Park is going to have a new community orchard! The Community Patch CIC and The Orchard Project would like to invite you to come and have an informal chat with us about what sort of fruit trees you would like to see in your park\, and help us to design a brand new community orchard.\n\nBased on your designs\, the orchard will then be planted early next year\, and we hope you can join us for this too!\n\nWe will have pens and paper and welcome all ages to come and get creative in dreaming up what the orchard will look like. Please share any ideas\, and any worries you have. Snacks and hot and cold drinks will be provided.\n\nFeel free to drop in anytime from 4.30 – 6pm and stay for as little or as long as you want.
