Come and plant a forest garden with us!

As part of our work on Diggle Street Park, which includes the new community orchard and flower beds,  the next job is underplanting the fruit trees. And we really need your help!

Join us to learn which plants work together to increase biodiversity in our garden, ensuring a good variety of fruits, nuts, and wildlife. The forest garden planting will attract pollinators, which in turn will support healthier, more productive orchard trees.

Join us on 14th May, 10am – 2pm.

We’ll use different techniques to plant (much less digging!), which don’t require you to have any previous skill or knowledge- just bring your enthusiasm.

All tools and refreshments are provided; children are welcome but must be accompanied by adults.

Please wear sensible footwear and clothes you’re happy to get muddy.

We’re working with The Orchard Project as part of the latest round of GMET funding to improve the park.
