Orchard Leader Training

December 4 @ 10:00 am - 4:00 pm
Free

Join us on 4th Dec to learn how to maintain an orchard.

The Orchard Leaders Training Day is an opportunity to learn both the theory and practical skills to maintain a community orchard.

This free 1-day training workshop will focus on winter pruning, where you will learn how to use a variety of tools safely and effectively to maintain your fruit trees for better health and fruit production.

The session will be provided by The Orchard Project with Victoria Holden, experienced educator and orchardist from NorthernLily and supported by The Community Patch CIC.

All equipment provided, and no experience necessary!

Please bring your own lunch and wear comfortable clothing and footwear (waterproofs too if you have them!)

The day will be at St Anne’s Community Centre in Beech Hill, from 10am – 4pm.

We’ll do part of the session indoors and part outdoors, mixing theory and practical work for a holistic learning experience. You’ll finish the day with the skills and confidence to manage your own orchard.

This course is free to attend, but places are limited, and booking is essential. Please book on this page.

Looking forward to seeing you there. Please email if you have any questions. hello@giveitagrowwigan.co.uk
