At Give it a Grow Wigan we’re launching a new project this summer,
Wigan Wildlife Watch.
This will include a short film celebrating our local wildlife in the borough, and a monitoring day to engage and involve the public.
We’re looking for submissions from the public to help create a short film celebrating wildlife in Wigan Borough. We want to include a wide range from bats, to insects to birds, aquatic animals and mammals.
We need your help to cover as many species and areas and environments of Wigan as possible, and really show what we have here.
We welcome footage from hobbyists and professionals alike – anyone with a passion for wildlife!
The deadline for submissions is 30th July 2021. Please see details below for how to submit your footage.
The video will be professionally edited and produced. We really want to champion what great wildlife we have right here on our doorstep and show everyone the wide variety all around. We believe the more people see, the more people will want to protect it.
Give it a Grow Wigan is a startup non profit community group, so this opportunity is unpaid, but we will credit you within the video. You can read more about what we do on this website!
The film will be shared on our website and our social media channels.
We aim to release the final video this Summer.
